Today, we experienced our first marine traffic jam…so many boats headed to warmer waters. We decided to take the Dismal Swamp route, rather than the “Virginia cut,” to avoid some of that traffic and because the swamp is beautiful!
We locked for the first time, went very slow but still had 3 “bumps” (logs), and are now in North Carolina.
